Amanda's Make-up Routine when Filming

Amanda's Make-up Routine when Filming

When people ask how my makeup stays fresh and flawless throughout long filming days on The Real Housewives of London, my answer is always the same: skincare first.

My morning begins with the Amanda Caroline Haute Rose Cleanser. Depending on how my skin is feeling, I’ll do either a single or double cleanse using a soft sponge. The cleanser gives a deep cleanse while remaining gentle, non-stripping, hydrating, and detoxifying, leaving the skin perfectly prepared for the next steps.

I then apply my Amanda Caroline Haute Lift Serum, which is packed with plant actives, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. This helps to hydrate, plump, and smooth the skin while creating the perfect canvas for makeup application.

Before makeup, I always spend a few minutes sculpting and depuffing the face using my Rose Quartz Gua Sha and Amanda Caroline Haute Lift Cream. I work under the chin, along the jawline, across the cheeks, and under the eyes to encourage lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, improve circulation, and create a naturally lifted appearance.

The final step is generously applying Amanda Caroline Haute Lift Cream. I allow the skin to fully absorb the cream until it feels completely nourished and saturated before the first layer of makeup is applied.

This preparation makes an enormous difference. My makeup doesn’t separate, ball, crack, crease, or settle into fine lines, even during filming days that can last up to 12 hours.

Throughout the day, I rarely need touch-ups. Instead of adding more powder, I simply press the skin gently with a powder puff and finish with a light mist of hydrating facial spray. This refreshes the complexion while maintaining a healthy, luminous glow.

Makeup artists regularly comment on the quality of my skin. Of course, treatments, facials, and consistent skincare all play their part, but what truly surprises them is how beautifully these products perform underneath makeup.

The result is smooth, radiant skin that allows liquid foundations, cream contours, blushers, and finishing products to glide on effortlessly, creating a flawless, camera-ready finish that lasts all day.

And, of course, great makeup starts with great skincare, but it also ends with great skincare.

After a long day of filming, the first thing I do is take off my eyelashes and start my evening cleansing routine. I run a nice warm bath and fill the sink with warm water before carefully removing every bit of makeup, especially around the eyes.

Using a soft, gentle sponge and my Amanda Caroline Haute Rose Cleanser, I work through the makeup on my face and around my eyes, making sure it’s all gone. Depending on how much makeup I’ve been wearing, I might cleanse once, twice, or even three times. On filming days, it’s usually a double or triple cleanse to properly remove foundation, contour, powder, SPF, and eye makeup.

Once my skin is completely clean, I rinse with fresh cold water to wake up the complexion and leave my skin feeling calm, clean, and refreshed.

I then apply my Amanda Caroline Haute Lift Serum followed by Amanda Caroline Haute Lift Cream before bed, giving the active ingredients, peptides, hyaluronic acid, and nourishing botanicals time to work overnight while my skin repairs and regenerates.

I really believe that beautiful makeup starts with healthy skin, and beautiful skin comes from never going to bed with makeup on and giving your skin the care it needs every day.

The secret to flawless makeup isn’t more makeup. It’s healthy, hydrated, beautifully prepared skin underneath.
